Story from The Circleville Herald, 28 Oct 1948: Dr. G. L. Hitler Is Dead After Long Illness — Dr. Gay Ludwig Hitler, 66, widely-known dentist who practiced in Circleville 40 years, died early Thursday following an illness of nearly three years. His death marked the second in recent months of veteran Circleville dentists, having been preceded in death in July by Dr. Otto J. Towers. Dr. Hitler and Dr. Towers began practicing in Circleville during 1905. Dr. Hitler graduated from Kenyon College…

This is Dr Gay Hitler’s grave:

…but perhaps the most remarkable thing about him is that his father was called George Washington Hitler.

Apparently, there are enough people in America called Hitler to warrant a documentary being made about them:

So, there’s something you know now.

On a somewhat different note…

It’s also 23 years since a man who had seen 17 Tina Turner concerts in one tour got invited on stage with her. It’s really rather a sweet video:
